NUSAKAMBANGAN


Once upon time, there was an arrogant king who dominated his region because of his own power. His name was Prabu Aji Pramosa. He added and looked for other powers in every single district of archipelago. He also searched powerful people to be lost. He wanted to be number one for the only one powerful man. So, one of his rules was doing wars with every powerful people; finally he found someone who had a great power named Kyai Jamur. It meant that he was in danger. When he was chased, he was wandering from west to the south through forests and rivers until Java's coast named Cilacap. His purpose was to avoid a war.

NUSAKAMBANGAN

After less than three hours, he found a cave in sea's edge. After that, he did "Semedi". In same time, Prabu's troops had arrived and decided to "Semedi" too. Moreover, Kyai Jamur was found and was killed directly. Prabu Aji Pramosa was shocked when Kyai's body disappeared without any remains.
Suddenly, Prabu Aji Pramosa and his troops was come a big dragon from the sea's wave. As soon as possible, Prabu pierced his darts right to the dragon's heart. After that, there was a beautiful woman named Dewi Wasowati who was actually formed by the big dragon. As her appreciation, she gave him a wonderful flower named Wijaya Kusuma which could make famous kings in Java Island reputedly. So, the region named Nusakambangan which meant an island which was grown flowers. Then, Prabu went back by his pinnace with his troops. On the other hand, Kusuma Wijaya flower which was brought had fallen. It made him very disappointed. After he arrived in his Kingdom, he got a news that Coral Island which near Nusakambangan was grown unexpected and wonderful flowers. They were Wijaya Kusuma in their region was named Nusakambangan.
